What Happens After the MVP? How Gritly Kept Building Without Slowing Down

How LabFox helped Gritly expand its Learning and Application Tracking platform through smart engineering and agile collaboration.

What Happens After the MVP? How Gritly Kept Building Without Slowing Down project

The Background

Gritly is a mission-driven organization focused on preparing students across the U.S. for one of the nation's most in-demand careers: sales. Through immersive sales bootcamps and hands-on CRM training in tools like Salesforce and HubSpot, Gritly equips learners with practical skills in prospecting, outreach, objection handling, and more. With an initial MVP and curriculum already launched, Gritly's next step was to evolve its offering into a full-scale Learning Management System (LMS) and Application Tracking System (ATS). To accelerate this transition while focusing on business growth and investor engagement, Gritly turned to LabFox to lead the product development.

The Partnership

LabFox joined the project to expand development capacity and execute on Gritly's strategic vision. Key goals included rebuilding the platform with serverless infrastructure, implementing cross-platform compatibility, migrating to a microservices-based architecture for scalability, and redesigning the public-facing Gritly website to reflect product evolution.

UI/UX Designers

Full-Stack Developers

Project Managers

Technical Architects

Key Features Delivered:

Serverless Infrastructure

Rebuilt the platform with a serverless architecture to improve scalability, reduce operational costs, and enhance performance.

Cross-Platform Compatibility

Implemented responsive design and cross-platform functionality to ensure a seamless experience across devices.

Microservices Architecture

Migrated to a microservices-based architecture to improve scalability and enable modular development.

Website Redesign

Redesigned the public-facing Gritly website to reflect the product evolution and enhance the brand presence.

Tackling Challenges Together

While LabFox handled much of the overhead Sarus sought to avoid, the partnership was not without its hurdles:

Integrating with Existing Engineering Workflows

Gritly already had an internal engineering team. LabFox brought in UI/UX designers, developers, and project managers who had to quickly align with Gritly's established processes and tools. The centralized onboarding framework ensured a fast, smooth transition.

Navigating Rapid Innovation

As Gritly continuously gathered customer and partner feedback, the product roadmap evolved dynamically. LabFox supported this pace of change by embracing agile re-prioritization, adapting development sprints to new strategic insights, and helping redesign features to meet shifting user needs.

The Result

With LabFox augmenting its development capabilities, Gritly was able to fully transition from MVP to a scalable platform, launch redesigned LMS and ATS modules with improved performance, and redesign and relaunch its website to reflect new product capabilities. LabFox's cost-effective pricing model also enabled Gritly to allocate more budget toward sales, marketing, and business development — helping the organization grow without compromising on product maturity.

What's Next

With Lift-Pro successfully launched, Sarus is exploring next-gen features:

Enhanced analytics and reporting features

Advanced personalization capabilities

Expanded integration with third-party tools

Mobile application development

The groundwork is laid for Sarus to scale into a category leader — and LabFox remains a key partner on that journey.
